Following the tragic shooting incident in Aurora, Colorado yesterday, Warner Bros. has confirmed that while the premiere screenings in Mexico and Japan will still take place, Christopher Nolan and the cast of The Dark Knight Rises will not be in attendance.
The premiere in Paris was understandably cancelled yesterday, although this announcement means that director Christopher Nolan and stars Christian Bale, Anne Hathaway and Joseph Gordon Levitt will not be taking part in the planned press conference or red carpet events on Monday at Mexico City’s National Auditorium. However, fans invited to the screenings in Mexico and Japan will still be able to attend, as will any promotion winners.
